Right in the centre of the town, just a stone’s throw from the Canal du Midi, the marina and the locks of Saint-Roch, you will discover the quiet atmosphere of the Maison Grimaude, an anthentic 19th century old house entirely renovated by its owner, an enthusiastic artist painter.
Brigitte Le Moysan designed all the rooms – the « Petite Campagne », the « Suite Pastel », the « Chambre Turquoise » and the « Chambre Rose », as real living spaces, each with its own particular atmosphere, to which colorful paintings add an artistic touch.
The day gets off to a wonderful start with an appetizing breakfast, with its selection of teas, coffee or hot chocolate, various fruit juices, home made bread, cakes and pastries with fresh or salt butter, locally produced honeys, yoghourts and cereals, not forgetting of course the homemade jams and jellies… to enjoy in the shaded garden in warm days.
From the Maison Grimaude, activities abound to make the most of your stay : from the mountains to the sea, you can hike, cycle or drive to the Cathar Castles, the Medieval City of Carcassonne, and many other historic and cultural sites of the Cathar country !
The Maison Grimaude is open all year round. After a busy day you will enjoy relaxing in the lounge, which is a quiet and convivial space at all times and all seasons !
