In the heart of the Cathar Country, in the upper valley of the Aude, Anne and Romain Marchesi will be happy to welcome you to the Domaine de Castel Nègre, and share with you their experience and love of good wine.
In order to protect consumers, to preserve the environment and offer wines of exceptional quality, the Domaine's conversion to organic agriculture began in 2008.
Why not try a Blanquette, a Crémant, an AOC Limoux or one of the red, rosé and white wines of the Pays d’Oc, during your visit or one of the following gastronomic « rendez-vous » organized by local producers:
Farm picnic market
A « farm picnic market» is organised every year, involving many local producers from the Bienvenue à la ferme network.
Wine-tasting apéritifs
Organised on request, these apéritifs are an opportunity to discover the Domaine’s wines as well as the specialities of local farmers who are members of the Bienvenue à la ferme network (olives, tapenade, onion confit, charcuteries and cheeses).
Exhibitions
Local artists are regularly invited to exhibit their paintings, sculptures or photographic work…
Camper van site
The Domaine caters year-round for camper van travellers who are members of the France Passion network.
You can program a visit any time of day, every day of the week, from 15th April to 15th December and in winter on request. Anne and Romain speak English and Spanish.
And to extend your stay, the Domaine de Castel Nègre has a guest house which can accommodate up to 6 persons and can be rented on a weekly basis or just for a weekend.
The fully equipped 60m² apartment has a private entrance and patio, a living room with a sofa bed and two double bedrooms. The kitchen has an oven, micro wave oven and dish washer, and the bathroom has a shower and a separate toilet.
The single storey building is fully wheelchair accessible.
Whether you opt for a day visit or a longer stay you can be sure to enjoy the many assets of the Domaine de Castel Nègre.
